Woodrose Receives School of Character Award

Our school representatives, Mrs. Marie Escueta (School Board Member), Dr. Gina Rama (Executive Director), and Ms. Ashley Aquino (Student Formation Head), flew to Washington, DC USA to attend the International Forum hosted by Character.org from November 4 to 7, 2023 and to formally accept our School of Character Award.

In addition, Woodrose participated in the event’s exhibit to showcase our innovative practice for character development – Parents as Primary Character Educators – among fellow educators, researchers, and civic leaders. As a result, Woodrose was also recognized as a Promising Practice Recipient for 2023, highlighting our steadfast commitment to character education.

“We are extremely proud to recognize the schools and organizations that have developed and implemented a Promising Practice” said Dr. Arthur Schwartz, President of Character.org. “Each of these programs and initiatives has demonstrated significant impact and strongly align with the principles that help schools and organizations cultivate a culture of character.”
