Grades 3 and 4 students recently took part in a Service Learning Activity—spending a meaningful morning making new friends with visiting students from Putatan Elementary School (PES).
The visit included bonding activities such as arts and crafts, card making, and games, thoughtfully prepared by their teachers. These activities gave the children an opportunity to learn, play, and spend time together while getting to know one another.
We would like to thank the volunteer Woodrose moms who prepared hygiene kits and food packs, as well as the families who donated pre-loved books for the visiting students.
Experiences like these help students connect classroom lessons with real-life encounters. They nurture empathy and responsibility, while fostering an awareness of how small acts of kindness can make others feel welcomed and valued, encouraging compassion, responsible citizenship, and a genuine concern for others.
