In Memoriam: Monette C. David

In Memoriam: Monette C. David
24 June 1977 – 30 June 2021

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Mrs. Monette Crisostomo David, who joined our Lord on June 30, 2021.

Mrs. David dedicated her entire teaching career to PAREF Woodrose School since 1998. She started as a Computer Teacher, then also became a Personal Formation Mentor and Class Adviser in her early years in the Intermediate Level. Aside from teaching basic computer, she also introduced coding and robotics, which the students really enjoyed. On top of that, she served as Moderator of the Computer Club and Thespian Club, and eventually became the Student Activities Coordinator for Grade School. In 2013, she was appointed as the Educational Technology Coordinator across all levels. She championed technology integration and digital citizenship in Woodrose. Mrs. David performed all her assignments with a lot of dedication and always gave her best. She will be remembered for being dependable, positive, persevering, cheerful, helpful, and pious.

Monette, as she was fondly called, was a friend to everyone. She built good relationships with all members of the school community. Generous and always ready to extend a helping hand, she was the person to be with if you had no “baon” for she would carry a “ mini-ref” as we called it, for a lunch box, sharing all her food with everyone.

She was a loving and faithful wife to Jon and a caring mom to Thea, Santi, and Diego. She brought her family closer to our Lord by living a true Christian life and creating a bright and cheerful home. An epitome of inner strength and peace and steadfastness in her faith in God’s help and providence, never would one hear Monette complain about work or problems despite being ill.

Her vivacity and enthusiasm to always be at her best as a colleague, a friend, a wife, a mother, and a daughter of God is a wonderful inspiration to all of us!
