Woodrose Team Receives Social Impact Award

The Purposeful Mochii, in partnership with Accenture Philippines and in cooperation with Google, conducted the 4th year of Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges, a month-long hackathon from January 31 to March 14. The event challenged students to identify issues related to women’s health, accessibility, and gender equality, develop research-based solutions, and present a concept or prototype to a panel of judges. Representing the Junior Division, Team A—composed of Louise Llamas, Saria Jeturian, Kassey Ong, and Hannah Cruz—identified a critical accessibility issue and, over three weeks, conducted research and developed a rapid prototype using Scratch and Machine Learning for Kids.

Last March 14, 2026, they presented their pitch to a panel of judges as one of the five finalists. Their project is called AllWay, a website that helps mute, deaf, elderly, and wheelchair users easily locate PWD-friendly restaurants, stores, restrooms, and healthcare services across the country. The platform features accessible tools such as larger text, sign language charts, and curated recommendations suited for the elderly, promoting safer and more inclusive daily mobility. Out of over 100 participants from Manila and Cebu, the team was awarded the Social Impact Award, recognizing their meaningful contribution toward building a more inclusive and equitable community. Congratulations, girls!
