Woodrose Hosts Educators from Congo and Nigeria

On February 27, 2024, Woodrose welcomed visitors from African nations, particularly Congo and Nigeria. Ese Diejomaoh led the Congo delegation which included parents from Lycee Liziba, a school in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Meanwhile, Noemi Garcia, a former Woodrose teacher, headed the Nigerian delegation composed of trustees of the Lagoon School. Ijeoma Amu, Principal of Roseville Secondary School in Enugu, Nigeria, and Viktor and Omotayo Akinyede also joined the group.

Aside from observing the grade school classes and touring the campus, the international guests were also keen to learn about our family-oriented programs. They met with representatives from the Personal Formation Council who discussed the school’s family enrichment initiatives. The visitors also expressed interest in collaborative engagements with parents, such as mentoring and peer coaching, and the involvement of alumnae in school initiatives.
