As part of their Religion class and preparation for Holy Week, our Sixth Graders created a website on Understanding the Holy Mass by Children for Children. It’s complete with information about the Institution of the Holy Eucharist, Parts of the Mass, Four Ends of the Mass, Preparing for Holy Communion, and Thanksgiving After Holy Mass. It even provides links to different online Catholic masses.
One student’s reflection likened attending Holy Mass to a Father-Daughter Date, but with God. It’s a simple and beautiful analogy of a special occasion with God as our Father with whom we can spend quality time and have meaningful conversations.
