PAREF (Parents for Education Foundation) gave a special tribute to our Founding Chairman, Dr. Placido L. Mapa, Jr. during the Annual Members Meeting of all PAREF schools held on August 10, 2019.

The PAREF community, and all the people it has transformed and will transform, owe much to one man, who, not just initiated PAREF, but guided it along its challenges and triumphs in its first decades of existence. Dr. Placido “Cidito” Mapa, Jr., a kindly and brilliant soul who led a group of parents and educators to found PAREF in 1976, passed on last May 5, 2019. To acknowledge his unparalleled contribution and commemorate his life, PAREF would like to present this video, prepared lovingly by our first PAREF school, Woodrose.
