The Research & Development Unit organized the 2nd Research Colloquium last 29 August 2018. The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Delia S. Udani, former Executive Director of PAREF Woodrose School and currently an independent registered Organizational Development Consultant doing projects for both companies and K to 12 schools. Ms. Udani inspired the audience with her discourse about the impact of research to work improvement, teaching and learning and that research likewise adds a substantial degree of professionalism to the job. She encouraged the audience to make research a specific professional development goal. Ms. Udani then concluded with the statement, “life is one big action research.”
Seven (7) teachers and administrators then delivered the highlights of their research which covered a diverse range of topics:
Action Research:

- Assessing the Capability of Woodrose School in Integrating Ecological Components into the Service Learning Program (Mrs. Romina M. Valerio)
- A Course Curriculum on “The Filipino Family” for Senior High School Students (Mrs. Ma. Fatima A. Victa)
- Character Education Program Engagement of PAREF Schools in Muntinlupa: An Assessment (Mrs. Elinor L. Dioko)
- Managing Millenial Teachers of PAREF Woodrose: Challenges and Strategies (Mrs. Ma. Aurora S. Katindoy)
During the question and answer segment, they shared that although they were faced with challenges in conducting research, they overcame it through: prayer, perseverance, optimism, and patience.
PAREF Woodrose School values research as a means to promote faculty training and development that will impact on high student achievement and holistic development. Our faculty and staff are highly encouraged to participate in research activities which are meant to promote not only student learning and well-being, but parent and teacher development as well.
