On the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we officially blessed the Prayer Room, a gift from the Class of 1999 commemorating their 25th jubilee year and the Reyes Family who wanted to give tribute to their mother, Maricar Reyes, for her dedicated service to the Woodrose community and her lifelong devotion to Our Lady.
Designed by Mel Almanzor and Rica Henares-Jumao from the Class of 1999, the room features commissioned works such as watercolor paintings of the Holy Family, St. Josemaria, and Blessed Alvaro, along with a wood carving of Our Lady. Students can also find children’s books about the lives of the saints, a collection of rosaries to use, and a space to post their prayer intentions. This warm and thoughtful addition to our school creates a peaceful sanctuary in the Grade School building for our students to reflect quietly and grow spiritually.
