Nature Walk

On January 7, 2026, Grade 6 students took part in an enriching Community Engagement and Nature Walk, led by Mr. Eric Buduan of the Forest Foundation of the Philippines and coordinated by Mr. Benjie Bernardo of the AAV Seedling Bank. The event aimed to educate students about the crucial role native trees play in our ecosystem and the importance of protecting and propagating them.

The day kicked off with an informative talk on native trees and their vital ecological role. The highlight of the event was the nature walk, where students and their teachers explored the park at the Immaculate Mary Grotto, observing native flora and trees like Ilang-ilang, Botong, Kamagong, Narra, Talisay, and Anahaw, all thriving in the heart of an urban environment.

To further deepen their connection to nature, students were given Narra seeds to propagate at home, ensuring that their environmental efforts would continue beyond the event. Carefully designed to be both safe and enriching, the activity offered students a hands-on opportunity to learn about environmental conservation and embrace their responsibility as stewards of the natural world.
