On December 4-7, 2023, we were honored to host Monica Ashour, an international speaker, book author, and director of Theology of the Body Evangelization Team (TOBET). Monica Ashour spoke about what it means to be human and made in the image and likeness of God with Woodrose students, mothers, faculty, and staff.
In particular, Monica offered practical and insightful tips during the Mother-Daughter Activities of the Grade School Department on how parents can further reinforce and complement the TOB lessons taught in school, and how the essential teachings of St. John Paul II on the theology of the Body can guide both kids and adults navigate the complex issues in today’s society.
In a very candid yet profound way, she stressed the importance of the body amongst the students and how it can be effectively used to receive love and give of one’s self to others. The Woodrose community is thankful to Monica Ashour for the valuable insights she has shared during her visit.
