Holy Land Retreat

With the goal of bringing Woodrose families to walk where Jesus walked and to know Jesus, as Fr. Reyes put it, “not just with the knowledge of the mind but also with the knowledge of the heart,” the first Holy Land Retreat Pilgrimage was organized for Senior High School students in February 2018. Due to the overwhelmingly positive experience, it was decided that this should be a yearly activity.

This 2019, not just one but two Holy Land Retreat Pilgrimages were organized to accommodate all who wanted to join.

The first group went on February 10-18, 2019. They were composed of twenty-two Grade 11 students and twenty-four family members and friends of Woodrose, accompanied by two Senior High School teachers and our School Chaplain Fr. Roque Reyes.

The 49 pilgrims visited such sites as Mt. Tabor, Church of the Annunciation, Sea of Galilee, Mt. of Beatitudes, Church of the Nativity, Church of the Primacy of Peter, Saxum Center, Dominus Flevit, Shepherds’ Field, Church of the Visitation, Church of All Nations, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Wedding Church at Cana, Capernaum, and the House of Caiaphas.

The second group of students and Woodrose families will go to Holy Land on March 12-20, 2019.
