The recent Grade One Father-Daughter activity was filled with interactive games mixed with song and dance numbers. It was a real opportunity for bonding and nurturing a strong relationship between fathers and daughters. Research on family has shown that when girls have a healthy and loving relationship with their fathers, they are more likely to have better academic performance in school, feel more secure about themselves, and develop better relationships with men. To reinforce this, Mr. Manuel Escasa was also invited to give a talk to the dads on the “Languages of Love – Understanding and Being Understood.” And in the end, he wrapped it up by saying that “80% of success [in a relationship] is showing up. Just be there…really be there.”
