Last month, our Grade 1 mothers gathered for a parenting talk by Mrs. Josie de Leon on the importance of giving children age-appropriate chores to build self-esteem, discipline, and a sense of responsibility. She highlighted the concept of “loving demands”—setting clear expectations, consistency, and household rules as genuine expressions of love that prepare children for the real world. This was part of our annual Mother-Daughter Activity, a time where moms and daughters learn, bond, and grow together through simple, fun, and meaningful moments in school.
