At the peak of their necessity, personal protective equipment (PPE) have been quickly dwindling in supply, leaving both ourselves and our beloved healthcare professionals without defense against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Luckily, a few Woodrose students took the initiative to create tutorials on how to replicate the currently-scarce safety gear. The videos feature inexpensive and easy-to-follow steps in making a DIY face shield and upgrading a simple cloth mask. Whether for donation or personal use, the resulting equipment will definitely prove useful in keeping safe from contracting the virus.
These students’ efforts have definitely challenged the idea that one can only contribute so much by staying indoors. Who’s to say how else we can help within the walls of our homes?
