A Tribute to Our Silent Heroes

On April 20, 2018, just a few weeks before graduating Senior High School and leaving Woodrose, Grade 12 students held the annual Auxiliary Tribute with an Under the Sea themed celebration. The event is a cherished school tradition that allows the graduating batch to show their gratitude to the Ates and Kuyas who work tirelessly behind the scenes to serve the entire Woodrose community.

The students transformed the AVR into an underwater paradise by decorating the walls and ceiling with their artwork. Students and auxiliary staff came dressed according to the theme in their luau-inspired outfits. They held a series of thrilling games and a round of videoke, then shared a scrumptious meal together. For the students, it was a fun way to give back to the Ates and Kuyas and a welcome opportunity to spend quality time with them. For the auxiliary, it was a chance to kick back, relax, and enjoy themselves.

The Auxiliary Tribute was a heartfelt “goodbye and thank you” from the graduating batch to the auxiliary staff, the silent heroes of the school who keep our campus clean and orderly, assist us when we set up for our events and activities, show care and concern for our well-being, and put smiles on our faces by simply saying, “Good morning, beauty!”
