The Woodrose Student Council (WSC), in cooperation with student organizations Bata Batuta and Woodrose Artisans, spread Christmas cheer at the S.O.S. Children’s Village in Ayala Alabang last December 2016 with an event which they called “A Stuffed Toy Story.”
According to the organizers, “We believe that a stuffed toy that has been hugged and cherished for many years, but is no longer played with, can bring as much comfort and joy to a needy child. When we donate our stuffed toys, we can make other kids happy.”
Many Woodrose students generously responded to the call for donations of pre-loved stuffed toys in good condition and/or sponsor gift packages for the benefit of the S.O.S. children. The gift packages included a canvas drawstring bag, which were designed by members of the Woodrose Artisans, a pre-loved stuffed toy, and a set of notebooks and pencils.
We hope that in our small way, we are able to make a difference in spreading the true meaning of Christmas.
