Our hearts are full of pride for Woodrose alumna, Jazmin Jabines, Woodrose Class 2015, for winning the English Speaking Union’s International Public Speaking Competition (IPSC) Grand Final at the Royal Institution in London on May 18, 2018!

The IPSC is the largest public speaking competition in the world. “Established in 1980, it now reaches over 600,000 young people in more than 50 countries across the globe, showcasing the highest standard of public speaking.”

Those who advanced to the IPSC final were asked to deliver a 5-minute speech on this year’s competition theme, “The best way to predict the future is to invent it.” Jazmin’s winning speech, entitled “One Hour at a Time,” talked about the lives of overseas Filipino workers.
