Students Recognized at 7th DLS-MUN

The 7th De La Salle – Model United Nations (7th DLS-MUN), held on May 8-9 2021, is the biggest Model United Nations in the Philippines with 𝟑𝟓𝟎 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 and 𝟓𝟎 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬. During the conference, delegates from various high schools and tertiary education institutions simulated UN committee sessions to discuss complex global issues with the aim of developing the diplomatic skills, vision and passion needed to make real change in society.

The Woodrose Model United Nations (WMUN) club put together a delegation of 15 JHS and SHS students to represent the school at the conference. In the end, two of our delegates were recognized: Grade 10 student NIKA AMBAL for BEST POSITION PAPER (World Health Organization) and Grade 11 student ALLY LOPEZ as OUTSTANDING DELEGATE (United Nations Security Council). WMUN is extremely proud of Nika’s and Ally’s achievements, especially since this is only their first year as a club.
