Congratulations to our 12th Graders, CLAUDINE CASTRO, FRANCES EMDEN, ANDY LOPEZ, CHESCA MARIANO, SOFIA NAVAL, ALIA PANLILIO, BIANCA RAMOS and YSABEL VILLANUEVA, for winning the pitching competition organized by the Academy of Entrepreneurs on May 16, held at PAREF Southridge School.
The participating teams were required to create a business that was completely original and addressed a socio-economic problem or market need. They developed comprehensive pitch decks that presented the problem, solution, value proposition, and revenue model. The winning pitch of our students described their startup, L.O.O.P. (Local Opportunities with Original Products), which supports indigenous communities by selling handwoven bags online, providing fair compensation to the weavers, and preserving their cultural traditions. Well done, girls!
